Big Data and Neuroscience-Thought Leadership

We are excited to announce that our Big Data and Neuroscience Thought Leadership event titled Neuro-Innovation: Exploring the Next Frontier of the Human Brain will be chaired by General Peter Chiarelli, United States Army (Ret.), Chief Executive Officer, One Mind for Research. We are proud that this event is part of the 21st International Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference, the industry’s preeminent event on Molecular Medicine, focusing on Drug Discovery, Genomics, Diagnostics and Information Technology.

The event will feature educational presentations from leading neuroscientists from the Stanford University School of Medicine including Dr. Amit Etkin from the Etkin Lab and Dr. Ruth O'Hara. Dr. Marty Kohn, Chief Medical Scientist for Care Delivery Systems in IBM Research, will moderate a thought leadership panel discussing "New Paradigms for Innovation Combining Big Data Analytics & Neuroscience."   Dr. Jefferey S. Grethe will share his perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing the use of big data for neuroscience.  He is co-Principal Investigator for the Neuroscience Information Framework in the Center for Research in Biological Systems at the University of California, San Diego.

This event was organized by Quant 6, driving thought leadership in Big Data and Life Sciences. The event will take place in San Francisco, CA on February 10th, 2014 from 8:30am-11:30am.

Wharton M&A West-Leadership Summit

Quant 6 Founder Michael Fernandez organized and hosted the first annual Wharton M&A West-Leadership Summit at Wharton San Francisco.  Over 150+ industry professionals attended to learn from an all-star group of M&A leaders who have driven more than $500B in M&A transactions.  The event supported the pioneering medical research of NCIRE-The Veterans Health Research Institute.  In this panel, leaders discuss successful deals and leveraged buyouts.

Technology M&A Trends in Silicon Valley

Quant 6 Founder Michael Fernandez hosted experts discussing the macro trends and factors driving the M&A market in Silicon Valley. They discussed how technology and Big Data companies are using M&A to expand capabilities, acquire top talent, and effectively identify and integrate an acquisition. The panelists were: Villi Iltchev, Vice President of Corporate Development at Salesforce; Dave Sobota, Director of Corporate Development at Google; David Liu, Managing Director and Head of Digital Media and Internet at Jefferies & Company Inc.
